I look for the beauty in all things. Lack of ambition is the single most unattractive trait that anyone can posess. Everyone has a wonderful story hiding inside themselves - but so few get the chance to share it. I wish I had the constitution to be a teacher, and the stomach to be a doctor. I wish I had the voice to be a singer, and the skill to be an artist. As it stands, I'm just a silly little girl, pretending to be a grown-up. I just wonder when I'm going to wake up and realize that the last ten years have been the product of my overactive imagination. I'm constantly falling in love with the little things all around me that make my life feel unique or special - getting mail, finishing a crossword puzzle from the paper, learning new things, sunny days, surprising people, doing good deeds, smiling, getting messages from long-lost friends making people happy, dancing... I'm sure this list could go on forever. Maybe I'm naive, maybe I'm eternally optomistic - but I think I'm just hopeful. I have faith in the people and things around me. I am overwhelmed on a daily basis by the beauty of creation. The joy is not in the journey, the joy is the journey. I'm so thankful for everything that's happened to me, because without any one of those moments, I couldn't be who I am today. | |||||||||
